According to a recent Gallup Poll, 71% of US workers are not engaged in their work. This leaves only about a third of the US workforce that is, “involved in and enthusiastic about their work and contributing to their organizations in a positive manner.”
Businesses with disengaged workers are more likely to be unproductive and suffer from high attrition rates. Interestingly, higher educated workers report greater levels of disengagement, and engagement levels were not affected by income level.
