Innovating and driving change within an organization can be particularly difficult, but Mr. Gray of Everett Smith Group has a few guidelines that can keep you focused and on target. Perhaps the most important is to always start with a solid plan. You have to know where you are going and how you will get there. After you’ve done that, define specific objectives and determine how you will measure progress toward those milestones. But don’t forget about accountability. Everyone involved should own their part of the project.
